Terms and Conditions - Emergency First Aid Courses:
Fees and Refund Policy
Confirmation of Booking:
Full payment of course fees is required prior to course commencement to secure a place in all EFA first aid courses.
Confirmation of participants booking will be sent via email. In the event that a participant does not have access to or supply an email address, a confirmation will be posted.
Full Course Fees will be charged if payment has not been received prior to course commencement and no notification of withdrawl has been submitted via email or in writing to EFA
Online Bookings:
Course preference will be given to participants that have processed payment online or via phone by credit card.
Participants that select EFT, Cheque or Money Order as payment for course fees will be placed on a waiting list until full payment has been processed. Placement into courses will be based on payment processed date. EFA will endeavour to place participants into their chosen course; however EFA will not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused should the participants chosen course be full at the time of payment processing.
Group Bookings:
An invoice may be issued when a group booking is required.
Where EFA has quoted on a number of participants requested by the group organiser, EFA will:
A. Regard the number of participants requested by the group organiser as a fixed number for billing purposes.
B. Require payment in full within 14 days of invoice date.
The group organiser must notify EFA at least 7-days prior to the course commencement of any changes in number of participants.
If the group organiser notifies EFA at least 7-days prior to course commencement that there are less participants than the number invoiced or quoted attend the course, EFA will attempt to place the non-attendees within a public course closest to the group course location.
If fewer participants than originally invoiced complete the course and no 7-day notice is given to EFA regarding the change in numbers, the group organiser is responsible for the total invoice cost.
The group must make all reasonable efforts to supply EFA with a list of participant names at least 7 days prior to the course commencement date in an attempt to reduce the incidence of dropout.
Participant Withdrawl
Refunds:
Full refunds will be given if a written request is received at least 7 days prior to the scheduled course commencement date. Notification of request for refund may be submitted by email; however refund requests must be written and addressed to EFA GPO Box 415 Melbourne 3001.
Refunds will be issued by cheque within 14 days of receiving the written request by mail.
No Refund will be issued after transferring courses
Course Transfers:
EFA allows one free transfer if the request for transfer is received at least 7 days prior to the scheduled commencement date.
Further transfers will incur a Transfer Fee of 50% of the course price in addition to the original course fee.
Requests for transfer received less than 7 days prior to scheduled commencement date, will incur a Transfer Fee of 50% of the course price in addition to the course fee
No Certificates will be issued until all Transfer Fees are paid.
No refunds will be issued if a participant has transferred courses.
Non-Attendance at a course:
Participants that do not attend their scheduled course will be deemed a "no show" and no refund will be issued unless-
· A participant is prevented from attending a course and contacts EFA within 1 day of the scheduled start date and supplies a Doctors certificate to EFA
Incompletion of practical course:
If a participant leaves during the practical component, EFA will attempt to reschedule the participant into a different course, (no additional fee will apply)
EFA will retain a 50% administration fee & refund the participant the balance if unable to reschedule. A Transfer Fee will apply for any further transfer requests (see Terms and Conditions: "Course Transfers".
Non-Attendance to a practical component:
Participants that do not attend their scheduled course will be deemed a "no show" and no refund will be issued unless-
· A participant is prevented from attending a course and contacts EFA within 1 day of the scheduled start date and supplies a Doctors certificate to EFA
Non Cancellation Policy
Emergency First Aid Pty Ltd will endeavour never to cancel public first aid courses.
EFA does however reserve the right to cancel courses or change dates if necessary.
In the hugely unlikely event of course cancellation by EFA, a full refund will be issued to all participants if requested. Refunds will be made available within 14 days by EFA to the participant. Participants will be given a free transfer into a different course if requested.
Fees Paid in Advance:
Students fees paid in advance of the course will be placed into a holding account until course commencement to ensure refunds are fast and efficient.
Online and Workbook Private Tuition Course:
In the event the participant needs to reschedule the practical appointment, the participant MUST contact Emergency First Aid at least 24 hours PRIOR to the appointment time. Failure to notify Emergency First Aid at least 24 Hours prior to appointment time will incur a $50.00 travel fee. Emergency First Aid may wave this fee at the discretion of management, if the appointment is rescheduled due to illness or any other reason deemed reasonable.
Online and Workbook courses must be completed within 6 months of enrolment date. Failure to complete course within this timeframe may incur additional costs, which reflect the price structure at that time.
Participants wanting to cancel a One on One course after receiving either workbook & textbook for the workbook course or login and password to the online course, will be deemed to have commenced the course and no refund will be issued.
Emergency First Aid reserves the right to cancel and reschedule a One on One practical appointment if:
A. The Online Theory component has not been completed by 5pm on the day prior to the appointment date.
B. EFA has not received the Workbook by 5pm on the day prior to the appointment date
Group Booking Refund
EFA will refund the complete course cost to groups that can substantiate in writing that we have not given a great overall service.
The refund is dependent on 90% of the participants agreeing that EFA has not delivered this service in regards to
a. Phone manner
b. Trainer competence and delivery
c. Provision of experienced, qualified trainers
d. Post course support
